Opportunities for Involvement

At SWCHC, volunteers play an integral role. They provide clinical care and non-clinical support services including intake, data entry, office assistance, interpretation, meal preparation, and help with clinic projects. The skills and generosity of spirit of our volunteers makes it possible for us to provide quality health services to the uninsured.

Current Volunteer Needs as SWCHC

Chart Audit: SWCHC is currently seeking 2-3 volunteers to help with a chart audits, chart purges, and data entry. The position would require about 3-4 hours per week.

Patient Intake: SWCHC is recruiting volunteers for Patient Intake for Monday evenings from 5:30pm-8:30pm and Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 3:30pm-8:30pm. Patient intake includes checking patients in, answering phones, collecting patient fees etc.

Data Entry: SWCHC is seeking a volunteer to help with data entry of demographics and visit information on an Access database. The position requires a 3 hour commitment on Wednesdays during the hours of 10am-6pm.

Receptionist: SWCHC is seeking a receptionist to answer phones, make patient appointments, assemble charts, and prepare records requests for other health care providers. Three hour shifts are available Mondays through Thursday during the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM.

Gardening/Landscaper: SWCHC needs help with lawn care, weeding, watering, pruning, etc. ASAP. Very small area. We have a push mower, but no gas-powered. Any time Monday through Thursday between 10 am and 4 pm, throughout the summer. Earn the boundless gratitude of our entire staff.
